Treated myself today to a Nikon 85mm f/1.8. As I was driving home there was a rather nice sunset so I got a couple of quick shots.

Gorgeous composition, colours and good use of focus! Love it.
Sounds like it would be one of those great portrait lenses too. I've got a f/1.8 85 mm, albeit Canon, which is a fun lens to use, especially for low light and portraits.
Absolutely beautiful.
I rented a 85mm once, 1.4 though. Pretty fun lens with a great DoF. The colors here are wonderful, great shot.
